West Metro Republican Women Recieve Charter 2002

West Metro Republican Women held their first official meeting in December 2001 due to the efforts of Verona Shealy and Roxanne Wilson.  There was an overwhelming response from the area.  At this meeting it was agreed to meet the Second Monday of Each month.  Roxanne Wilson presided over the first meeting and officers were elected.  Verona Shealy was elected President, Lisa Manini Sox, First Vice President, Janet Prince, Second Vice President, Beverly Sease was elected Secretary, Treasurer, Faye Prince and Corrosponding Secretary, Jewel Howers.  The name of the club was decided at this time. Our first meetings were held at Grecian Gardens in West Columbia, SC. 

West Metro received their charter in June of 2002 and at our First National Convention which was held in Salt Lake City we received the Diamond Award.
